Welcome to my personal home page.
In case you want to make an offer, you can check out my
RESUME if you like.
Currently I am a full time employee at
Sterling Bank in Houston
but always looking to improve my situation. Due to my wife taking a job near Nashville TN, I am especially looking for a new position in that area.
You can find a little about me
and my interests here, but if you want to contact me, you can
e-mail me at [email protected]
The main purpose of this page is to share some interests, links,
learn a little, and have some fun.
As allways, flames >/dev/null
A couple of online projects are:
- AddressBook
- A simple address book, no real addresses in it, but this one has no real information in it.
- ShelfWire
- A bookshelf program to keep track of your library. It has hooks to allow using the US Library of Congress card catalog to get book information, but that is currently not enabled. This is currently test data only.
.
Some links of interest to me:
- Fluidics - Fluid logic devices
- Storage Closet - Backups and the like
- Unedited/categorized notes.

Buy Me Lunch!
- Ok, so I didn't buy you lunch.
- Solid Systems
- Where I used to work. Solid Systems is a VAR (Value Added Reseller)
of high end computers, services, and Business to Business
hosting services in their new datacenter! They have since sold the data centers and most of the people
I worked with are gon. ... Such is life.
- My Linux ISP
- A friends ISP who also hosts this web site.
- Boy Scout Troop 838
- My son's scout troop. Their specialty is backpacking.
- SimTech & DBOPS
- William Simmons builds guitars and has written an ASCII database
access program, dbops. It is cool, easy to use, and fast. It is a commercial
product. Contact Willie or his web site for more details.
It runs in UNIX shell, but it is maninly C programs, with some useful
shell scripts that use dbops as samples.
- Evan Brown vs DSC et al
- Evan is an old friend, and his site chronicles his problems
with a former employer. Check it out if you are concerned by
intelectual property law or rights.
Some useful sites...
- Motley Fool
- An investment philosophy that you can live with.
... If we were all so 'Foolish'
- DogPile
- Backup Central
- A source of backup information by a well known authority, Curtis Preston. Curtis sold to Storage Mountain.
- ADSM aka TSM or Tivoli Storage Manager user group>
- Great place to get non-vendor info on TSM.
- a href=http://www.autovault.org>More TSM management tools
- Supported by Code Relief
who makes tools for TSM. But they also provide free tools and info.
A good DR management package that costs less than the one sold by TSM.
- My Yahoo
- Organize your personal news. E-mail, clubs, reminders, e-cards, track stocks, etc, etc, etc
- Veritas
- Good badkup software for just about anything, and high performance file
systems for UNIX, and soon other systems.
- My JustLinux
- Another MY site, but Linux geek related
- freshmeat
- Find software for UNIX and Linux systems.
- slashdot.org
- News for Nerds - and that pretty well explains it
